Concept and study of international conflicts and security - Study of conflicts and consecration of polemology -Classical typology of conflicts -International security 3. International conflict resolution strategies, processes and techniques - The ways of solving and controlling international conflicts - Stakeholders in the resolution of international conflicts - The role and importance of International Organizations - The importance of International Courts - International conflict resolution techniques: international mediation. 4. Security and world peace - Studies for peace (the contribution of Johan Galtung) - International security and peacekeeping: the role of the UN - Peace preservation and human, economic and social development.

    Objectives

    Provide understanding and knowledge of the object of study of international conflicts and security, that is: international conflict theory and peace studies theory; theories of strategy; international security mechanisms; conflict resolution processes and techniques; and missions aimed at maintaining and preserving world peace.

    Teaching methodologies and assessment
