Class Fashion Design Laboratory II

The Fashion Design Laboratory II course complements the Fashion Design Laboratory I course and aims to enable students to accomplish and plan a designer fashion collection.

This curricular unit aims to enable students to create designer fashion design prototypes, so the focus will be on pattern design (patterns transformations). The creation of prototypes for the collection created by students, at the UC Fashion Design Laboratory I, includes the application of trimmings: interfacing, zippers, buttons, bias tape, horsehair, among others necessary for the construction of garments.

Through visual presentations, there will be focused aspects of research and analysis of fashion design. In the classroom context, the work and an autonomous work regime will be developed to be carried out in class. The work typology is essentially practical, assuming research, planning and execution.
