1. International Relations Actors: states; Intergovernmental organizations; non-governmental organizations; multinational companies; national liberation movements / terrorist groups; international public opinion. 2. The Concept of Power: definition; dimensions of power; distinctions in the concept of power: limits of power. 3. The Elements of Power: the geographical factor; the demographic factor; the economic and financial factor; the scientific and technological factor; the military factor; the governmental factor; the national issue; the historical-psychological-sociological factor; the quality of diplomacy. 4. The Formulation of Foreign Policy: the determination of the parties involved; determining the objectives; capacity determination; determining the orientation; external means of raising capacity; the political decision-making process. 5. The Privileged Instruments of Foreign Policy.

Objectives
Students must acquire analytical skills regarding the study of international relations, from a structured, scientific perspective. They should also be encouraged to understand the importance of specific concepts in international relations and their applicability in political analysis.

Teaching methodologies and assessment
Teaching methodologies and assessment
The main conceptual and theoretical issues of the program are taught by the Professor. The operational dimensions (acquisition of technical and instrumental skills) connect the pedagogical strategy of the teacher with the knowledge to be obtained by the student through the study of the subjects of the course. The assessment will be done through two written tests.
