This course aims at providing the tools to grasp the fundamental and introductory knowledge of Constitutional Law, namelly the understanding of the specificity of this legal discipline and the main areas aspects of the Theory of the State and the Theory of the Constitution, thus allowing students to acquire solid bases not only to further pursue the study of applied Constitutional Law but also other to be able to grasp other branches of public law.

Objectives
Objectives
By the end of the semester students are expected to grasp the legal concepts necessary to understand the general and introductory concepts of Constitutional Law and public law in general, enabling them with the necessary tools to pursue their studies on the several special branches of public law. Additionally, it is hoped that students will be engaged in furthering their interest in the legal academic debate and in a critical approach to the law in general. Finally, this course would be able to afford an initiation to legal professional practice and independent reserach in the framework of the syllabus subjetct matter.
