  • Objectives

    Objectives

This curricular unit aims to enable students to understand the organization of the human body, understanding the distribution of its organs in a systemic functional concept. We will start with brief notions of embryology, to understand the physiological relationships and respective consequences in the different maturational stages throughout the life cycle. The systems focused on in UC are digestive, endocrine, respiratory, cardiovascular, lymphatic, nervous, urinary, genital, and reproductive from an anatomical and functional perspective. Upon completion of the course, the student must be able to: - Describe the anatomical structure (macroscopic and histology) and the functions of the various organs, apparatus and systems of the human body and its basic physiology. - Understand the basic coordination between different systems.
  • Teaching methodologies and assessment

    Teaching methodologies and assessment

The Curricular Unit consists of theoretical and theoretical-practical classes. Theoretical classes are masterful in following the program defined by the objectives of the curricular unit, with stimulation of the active participation of students through expository moments and assessment of didactic penetration. Theoretical-practical classes deepen the content taught, with respective integration through the use of the innovative “Anatomage” platform and the development of class questionnaires. Group work will also be carried out on different topics related to the material exposed.
