Objectives
Objectives
With the growing development of new information technologies, this course aims to provide students with a set of basic skills in word processing, spreadsheets, slide presentations, posters, leaflets or other forms of information transmission, enabling them to research, manage, obtain and process the growing volume of information generated in research or work processes, using new information technologies. Thus, the student should be able to prepare documents using a word processor, as well as apply different basic statistical techniques, data analysis software and graphics. They should also be able to systematically search for and obtain scientific and technical information from the Internet, namely through bibliographic searches, the properties of chemical/biochemical compounds, as well as create, visualize and manipulate 2D and 3D molecular models.

Teaching methodologies and assessment
Teaching methodologies and assessment
Theoretical-practical classes with compulsory attendance, accompanied and guided by a teacher. Practical exercises are solved directly using the computer. Classes take place in a room equipped with a video projector and computers, allowing synchronization between the lecturer's presentation of theoretical topics and the students' application on the computer. Assignments and exams are only submitted via the moodle platform.
