The purpose of this subject is to provide students with skills to carry out animation projects, along with entities or spaces that intend to create a differentiating factor in the tourist place. The need for this unit is related to the growing value of tourist entertainment in places in comparison to a tourist increasingly demanding and wanting leisureor recreation activities to have a remarkable experience. It is intended to increase the student's capacity to develop creative and competitive solutions, respecting inclusion and sustainability principles.

Objectives
- Understand the concept of tourist entertainment and integrate it into the definition of tourism and leisure; - Identify the different types and related activities; - Interpret and apply correctly the legal issues governing the activities of tourist entertainment in Portugal; - Understand the importance of tourism entertainment for destinations and tourism enterprises, in the context of new tourism experiences increasing the inclusion and sustainability issues; - Organize tourist entertainment projects; - Identify the main impacts that arise from the various types of tourist entertainment in local communities and within territory sustainability; - Identify the tourist animator main professional skills.

Teaching methodologies and assessment
Teaching methodologies and assessment
In order to privilege active learning methodologies, the contents of this course are discussed and illustrated based on concrete examples so as to stimulate students to actively participate using their knowledge of themes. Emphasis will be given to the analysis of case studies, seminars and also to the realization of fieldwork in order to encourage students to get closer to reality in order to increase their ability to develop creative and competitive solutions, respecting principles of inclusion and sustainability. It is intended to provide differentiated learning scenarios, namely through the realization of works that mobilize knowledge from different curricular units or intra-institutional cooperation. Continuous evaluation: Written test: 35%. Pratical work: 50%. Class attendance and participation: 15%.
