Presentation
The Art and Environment Creation curricular unit plays an important role in the development and exploration of skills related to designing the art of 3D environments for game engines. With a wide range of applications and potential fields of action, this subject offers a platform for students to explore the world of designing 3D environments, providing an in-depth understanding of techniques and tools used in this process. This subject also aims to guide students through the design of a 3D light environment, creation of light in a game engine, application of Unity rendering (URP), aiming for students to create a real demo in Unity. It also establishes specific restrictions and objectives to ensure that projects meet certain standards, simulating a professional environment. This curricular unit is complementary to the 3D Modeling and Animation I curricular unit.

Research and creation of moodboards / project presentation boards; Creation of a project dossier containing all the information about the design of 3D environment design for the game engine in Unity. Scenario planning; List of assets to be made with time speculation. Understanding scale on modeling a closed 3D environment for a game engine. 3D blocking of the environment to be modeled in the 3D Modeling and Animation I UC. Blockout with three light states (beginning of the day, end of the day and night). Application of good practices in the organization of 3D and Unity projects. Integration of textured 3D models and light in game engines: Unity. Creation of a real demo using the Unity render engine.

Objectives
Objectives
This curricular unit aims to provide students with a comprehensive set of knowledge and methodologies essential for creating 3D environments, intended to be later used in a game engine. Starting the process in the research and planning phase of this type of project. The main purpose of this curricular unit is to equip students with the necessary skills to plan this type of project. Starting from a research phase, students are invited to build a project dossier, which contains the entire art conception of a 3D game environment: taking into account issues such as shapes, textures, light and optimization. Furthermore, this unit will provide a solid foundation in the application of good organizational practices, ensuring that students develop a structured and assertive approach to their work.
