Presentation
This C.U. is based on drawing from direct observation of the male and female human figure. Drawing is accompanied by moderate concepts of anatomy and proportion. In order to draw the human body, students must apply the elements of drawing: scale, composition, figure/background relationship. Different approaches to drawing are explored as well as different positions for the model: short/long pose, stillness/movement, isolated/in dialogue with space, draping and props.

- Blind and transformed contour drawing. - Scale, perspective and proportion. - Gestural drawing. - Modelling - weight and mass. - Shared drawing. - Figure/background relationship. - Modelling drawing - light and shadow - Representation and expression - graphic experiments using technical mechanisms and new technologies (magnification, blurring of contours, etc.). - Everyday gestures - drawing the body in motion, exploring the body's relationship with small objects - Movement and occupation of space - the body in relation to its surroundings. The content of the programme is based on 3 approaches: - Warming up and unblocking the gaze with blind and transformed contour exercises, expressive drawings and other experimental and free ways of drawing. - Analytical drawing exercises - Thematic graphic diary with 1-5 exercises per week. Note: The FH I, III and V programmes are identical, but the level of difficulty gradually increases.

Objectives
Basic drawing skills include composition, rigour of body proportions, perspective and the anatomical knowledge that helps in the representation of the human figure. The skills of observation and recording are progressively developed in relation to human anatomy. Knowledge of techniques and graphic approaches to drawing is developed.

Teaching methodologies and assessment
Teaching methodologies and assessment
A hybrid teaching methodology is used, with content delivered in class (before or during poses and in front of the model) and other content made available to students via the Moodle platform. The online content consists mainly of: tutorials, image banks and/or videos (with different poses and models of different body biotypes [ectomorph, mesomorph and endomorph], different genders and ages); but there are also various specialist books available (through which students can further study and research human figure drawing according to their individual interests). Students are encouraged to explore their personal interests in the Graphic Diary and also to share them in class, so that, in dialogue with the teacher and their classmates, they can combine and articulate their aesthetic universes with the fundamental content to be acquired in this course.
