The field of action of this optional CU is to develop the skills for the realization of an artistic Personal Project. The field of action is Painting as a field of investigation, and its countless possibilities of materialization in contemporaneity. The field of intervention is the expanded field of Painting (as an autonomous, transdisciplinary or site-specific field). The relevance of this CU is justified by its complementarity to all CU of Painting and Drawing (mandatory CU present in the study plan of the Degree in Visual Arts) and as a support to these, extending the students' contact time with the teacher in order to enhance the artistic results of the Personal Project. During the semester, it encourages and makes students aware of the relevance of documenting the work process in progress, and finaly, its photographic register for promotion, diffusion and portfolio.

Teaching methodologies and assessment
Teaching methodologies and assessment
The relevant pedagogical methodology in this CU is tutorial contact. This individualised approach aims to broaden the visual culture and stimulate the development of technical languages and processes, critical vision and methodologies for research. The tutorials are carried out through conversations with the student regarding the concepts underlying the development of their Personal Project (PP). These tutorials indicate conceptual references, examples of works by national and international artists relevant to each imaginary, bibliography and the conception of the artistic proposal in order to expand the possibilities of creative and artistic production of each student, individually. The critical and self-critical capacity is valued through collective discussions in the classroom where processes and results in the realisation of each PP are debated, exercising the use of appropriate technical terminologies aiming at preparing for autonomous life after completion of studies.
