This unit is part of the clinical curriculum with a particular enfocus on equine and livestock practice. It introduces the sudent to the basix cpncepts necessary for the practice of evidence-based medicine and is therefore fundamental in the development of clinical skills required for the practice of veterinary medicine.

Objectives
Objectives
The purpose this curricular unit is to provide the necessary tools (theorectical and pratical) for clinical reasoning in large animal and equine practice. Thus, the student will recognise clinical aspects fundamental for the identification of the clinical problem, by collecting the necessary data (clinical history, phisycal examination and ancillary diagnostic tests) and its' correct interpretation, and ultimately reaching a final diagnosis.

Teaching methodologies and assessment
The use of simulators and life-size models allows students to practice procedures safely and gain confidence. The use of active learning methodologies such as clinical case solving, gamification and jigsaw methodology allow students to stay focused and actively interact during the teaching of the CU contents.
