Presentation
Medical Zoology aims to contribute for a wider knowledge of Veterinarians regarding animals that are not studied throughout their academic path and that represent an important portion of veterinary practice, in the scope of both pets and livestock, as well as animal products. This CU also intends to study the morphology, biology and ecology of harmful vertebrates and arthropods, to achieve diagnosis and prophylactic measures, as well as to clarify and discuss curiosities, explore, and divulge new topics and studies, in order to develop the students’ interest in this vast and important yet so little explored and neglected field. As such, this CU is a part of and has a strong link to the One Health concept.
