The UC studies the multiple mechanical, physical and biochemical functions in living beings. In short, physiology studies the functioning of the organism and aims to provide students with basic knowledge and the different systems are approached independently but always integrating the previously acquired knowledge. Students should understand the normal functioning of organisms and how their disturbances cause changes in the animal's life.

Objectives
Objectives
Know the function and regulation of the different organ systems Understand the physiologic function of each system and how they interplay in the body as a whole. Know the physiologic profiles in the different veterinary species. Distinguish between physiologic and pathologic profiles in the different veterinary species. Develop the understanding of the disease pathophysiology.

Informatic resources will be used to support active learning, through sharing of supplementary support materials on an e-learning platform. In theoretical classes, real-time quizzes may be conducted using a mobile application to encourage student interaction during lessons. Some of the practical classes will involve simulation of laboratory experiments using the PhysioEx 10.0 software.
