The dissertation's main purpose is to provide students the ability to use applied investigation tools. It is intended that a study on a topic chosen by the student is made. It is intended that the student do a literature search on the topic, plan the experimental work in the form of tasks to be developed over time and with well-defined objectives, perform the various scheduled tasks in order to obtain results that should be criticized.

Objectives
Objectives
Students will acquire skills in the subject under study and the ability for the thesis preparation (writing and presentation of results), the presentation and public discussion. The course aims at developing the following skills: Capability of information management; Capability of planification and organization; Ability to undertsand the language of experts from other fields; Ability to communicate with persons that are not experts in the field; Ability of doing research work; Ability in analysis and synthesis; Ability to formulate and solve problems; Capability of critical thinking; Capability of autonomous learning, of doing research, of oral communication and writting. Capability of inovative enterpreneurship; Capability to adapt to new situations.

Teaching methodologies and assessment
Teaching methodologies and assessment
Students are accompanied in the preparation of the dissertation by a supervisor. They use the most modern and sophisticated instruments of information and communication technologies. There are periodical-monthly meetings with the advisors. There are also monthly meetings with the direction of the course and all the teachers and students involved in this process, with a view to exchanging experiences and incentives.
