  • Presentation

    Presentation

The course on Media Systems focuses on the political economy of the media from a mostly comparative perspective. In the area of industry, it seeks to offer an understanding of the dimensions of the market and its evolution, as well as in the way it interacts with technology, in a historical way. In terms of the State's relationship with this industry, it deepens concepts of intervention, regulation, public policies and public media service. The course problematizes the media as a fundamental sector of the economy and social life, in relation to society and culture, and particularly with professional cultures and cultural values.
