Class Comparative Labor Law in the "Lusophone Space"

The aim of this curricular unit is to provide an overview of the Portuguese labor law system and the main guidelines for comparing it with the systems of other Portuguese-speaking countries, including a comparison of several specific labor law institutes in various Portuguese-speaking countries.

The curricular unit will be teaches with a balance between theorical-practical exposition of topics by professor (presentation and discussion of the subjects and questions of the syllabus and their knowledge application) in the and dialogue with and between students. During classes students are encouraged to ask questions, give their opinion in relevant subjects and participate in case-solving classes. Presenting assignments is also a very important learning tool. Students may choose to write an essay on a particular subject. A list of suggestions will be available, but students may choose a different subject. The professor will be available to discuss the subject choice.
