In a context of profound social and technological changes that have enormous impacts on educational practices and processes, the Skynet course aims to be a multi- and interdisciplinary space for the intersection and exploration of the various skills and areas of knowledge covered by the Department of Cinema and Media Arts, in order to capitalize on them through project-oriented teaching methodologies and work based on artistic immersion residencies.

1 Challenges of the future projected into the present 2 AI in the arts: from sound to image, from the physical body to its replacement 3 Digital archives and the “dictatorship” of algorithms 4 Can machines imagine? Creation, creativity, and imagination. From musical artists to creative designers. 5 Multi- and interdisciplinarity in the use of artistic languages and media. 6 Methodologies of creation and the use of technologies 7 AI, algorithms, and social networks in the construction of new discourses.

Objectives
Objectives
This course aims to create a space for thought, reflection, and creative production, based on and around challenging contemporary issues. Students from various DCAM courses will have the opportunity, first, to meet with various guest professionals invited to a series of seminars and, second, in the context of an artistic residency, to create one or more artistic projects that reflect on some of today's pressing issues and translate into a set of creative objects, using various technologies and languages from the worlds of image and sound.
