UCDGD offers continuous and specific training in the different fields of the discipline, introducing, reinforcing and deepening scientific knowledge, synchronously equips students with technical and didactic skills focused on the area of knowledge. It intend to reflect and reflect on the nature of dihedral representation in the relationships that are established between entity, projection, space and system, focusing on imagination and geometric and critical thinking. The place of discipline among the sciences of representation (in the synthetic variant) will be observed, as well as the translation and proximity with regard to the analytical sciences, taking care of the language itself, without neglecting the philosophical-epistemological importance. UCDGD develops the communication that is established between form and its descriptive representation, aiming to operate not only at the ideal level, but also, as applied science, at the action level for different curricula.

Syllabus: Framework of the discipline of Descriptive Geometry in the widest sense of the historic legacy of the Geometric Sciences and the Representation Theories. Philosophical and epistemological affiliation of the mechanisms and experiences of understanding in Geometry. Different pedagogic approaches to the issue of teaching/learning in Descriptive Geometry. Classification and taxonomy of geometric figures. Fundamental geometric concepts: redefinition of the projective practice and representation systems. Disciplinary characterization of the Diedric System or Monge is Method. Generic studies of Point, Straight Line, Plane and Auxiliary Geometric Methods in Double Orthogonal Projection. Advance representation issues in Double Orthogonal Projection. Notion of Exercise and Problem in Descriptive Geometry.

Objectives
Objectives
Command of the concepts, practices, strategies and language specific to the teaching of the discipline of Descriptive Geometry, using as ballast a philosophical and cultural equipment, and as backdrop, the scientific universe of representation in Diedric System or Monge's Method or Double Orthogonal Projection. Competencies to be acquired: -Frame Descriptive Geometry in the context of General Geometry. -Position oneself in the philosophical discussion regarding the transmission and acquisition of knowledge in the field of geometric sciences. -Take a position, vis-à-vis differentiated universes and distinct themes, by different pedagogic approaches in teaching/learning Descriptive Geometry. -Clearly identify classes, families and species of geometric figures. -Rank geometric concepts. -Establish method relations: discuss, intuit, demonstrate, induce and deduce. -Recognize and manipulate with dexterity the precepts of representation in Monge's Method, in the context of the classroom.
