    With the current profusion of sensors being used in multiple applications, advanced knowledge of signal acquisition issues, their consequent processing and the systems used in them is becoming necessary. On the other hand, the computational resolution of problems without closed analytical solutions makes it possible to respond to a range of problems that are the order of the day. Therefore, the ability to collect and process signals, their interpretation and consequent computational approaches are fundamental. This course is therefore an advanced qualification for those who wish to increase their knowledge in this area.
  • Knowledge, abilities and skills to be acquired

    Knowledge, abilities and skills to be acquired

    - Time invariant signals and systems, Laplace, Fourier, Z and Discrete Fourier transforms, time domain and frequency domain analysis - Digital filters applied to signal transmission - Evaluation of digital signal transmission problems, applying the knowledge acquired to real problems. - Analysing and synthesising signals using the mathematical tools of transformation in S-space, frequency and time. - Solving problems that do not have an analytical solution, and familiarisation with the main techniques.
