The UC of Technical french Language aims to provide all the tools to develop guided tours in the French language.
The acquisition of technical vocabulary (architecture, botany and more) will play a central role, as will oral expression.
French-speaking tourism being very present in the Portuguese territory, the learning of the French language is an asset in the labour market.

Syllabus
Technical vocabulary:
- Vocabulary for religious spaces
- Religious men and women
- Saints
- Lexicon of castle and palace furniture
- Building materials, metals, precious and semi-precious stones - Botany: flowers and plants; trees and shrubs
- Religious orders in Portugal
In addition to technical vocabulary, there will be pronunciation training through reading exercises, translation exercises. When necessary, grammar points will be taught to improve understanding and expression.

Objectives
Objectives
To establish a base of grammatical resources, of sociolinguistic and sociocultural competences of the use of the French language applied to the practice of tour guide.
- To be able to understand texts, to give practical instructions, explanations in the area of tourism, to summarize information and to interact professionally.¿
- To express themselves correctly, efficiently, fluently and spontaneously with French-speaking tourists.
- To develop communicative competences and language skills to communicate orally in French Language, also demonstrating technical language skills.
