Open Courses Water Policy, Economics and Governance

Effective water management increasingly depends on well-designed public policies, efficient economic mechanisms and participatory governance. The course offers in-depth training in strategic planning, economic instruments, regulation, social participation and infrastructure financing. It is aimed at professionals who wish to contribute to fairer, more transparent and more effective water management, supported by a faculty of excellence.

The selection process is based on analysing candidates' academic and professional backgrounds.

It is aimed at professionals from public bodies, regulators, NGOs, companies or researchers interested in water policy, the economics of natural resources and participatory and transparent decision-making processes.

Graduates will be able to work as technicians or decision-makers in public organisations, regulatory bodies, international agencies, NGOs or companies, contributing to more effective and equitable water governance policies and systems.
