
Faculty of Engineering Celebrates Eco-Schools Award with Flag Raising
Event highlighted academic work in the Eco-Schools programme and awarded students involved in the 2022/2023 initiatives

The Faculty of Engineering at Universidade Lusófona - Centro Universitário Lisboa celebrated winning the Eco-Schools 2022/2023 award with a special green flag raising session. The event, attended by 25 participants, including students and teachers, was a moment of recognition and celebration of the work carried out under the Eco-Schools programme throughout the school year.
Coordinating teachers Joana Lage and Elisabete Maurício gave a flashback of the activities and achievements of Eco-Schools in 2022/2023, emphasising the importance of environmental education and sustainability in the academic community. During the ceremony, students involved in the various initiatives promoted by the Eco-Schools Council (CEE) were presented with prizes and certificates of participation, recognising their commitment and dedication throughout the year.
The ceremony emphasised the Faculty of Engineering's commitment to promoting sustainable practices and the importance of students' active participation in projects aimed at environmental well-being. The raising of the green flag symbolises the collective effort of the entire academic community towards a more sustainable future.
