As part of the Sustainability Days, Lusófona University held an awareness-raising event focused on energy saving, organised by the Eco-Schools coordination team. The lecture, open to the entire academic community, centred on the theme "Green Hydrogen, raw material and energy vector for sustainability".
The highlight of the event was Professor Rui Neto, who gave a detailed presentation on the potential of green hydrogen. During the session, Professor Neto carried out a practical dynamic, demonstrating how to create an alkaline electrolysis cell to generate hydrogen and oxygen from water. This practical demonstration allowed participants to better understand the process of producing green hydrogen and its applications in energy management and saving.
The event covered crucial topics such as energy management, training for students and staff, and the importance of energy saving. The initiative aimed to promote greater awareness of sustainable practices and encourage the adoption of innovative energy solutions.
