On 20 June, students from the Lusófona University Eco-Council, accompanied by teacher Anabela Cruces, took part in a technical outing to the old Lousal mine. During the visit, the students explored the mine's historic facilities and the living science centre created on site. The activity emphasised the importance of rehabilitating mining areas and managing water quality. The students collected water and sediment samples, which will be analysed in Ecotoxicology and Water Quality classes, reinforcing the importance of studying natural resource management and environmental preservation.
