Session marked the start of the academic year, featuring institutional presentations and mentoring to support students’ first steps in education
Sustainable Development Goals (SDG)
Integrating new students and easing the start of university life was the purpose of the welcome session organised by the Institute of Social Service of Lusófona University – Lisbon University Centre, marking the beginning of the 2025/2026 academic year. The event aimed to bring students closer to the academic community and introduce them to the services and opportunities available on campus.
The session included welcome messages from the course management, delivered by Professor Hélia Bracons, as well as presentations of the academic services, the library, and the Students’ Union. Special emphasis was given to the ISS Mentoring Programme, which involves student mentors in organising activities and supporting newly arrived colleagues.
The day concluded with a guided tour of the campus, led by the mentors, allowing new students to explore the university’s main facilities. The reception symbolised not only the beginning of an academic journey but also the commitment to building an inclusive, engaging, and supportive environment.
