As part of the Sustainability Days, Lusófona University hosted a lecture by Dr Gabriela Almeida, who addressed crucial issues related to the monitoring of nitrogen compounds and the sustainable management of aquatic resources. Dr Gabriela Almeida, Associate Professor at the Egas Moniz School of Health and Sciences, Researcher at UCIBIO-i4HB and CEO of Nitrogen Sensing Solutions, shared her experience and knowledge in the field of water quality and treatment with the academic community.
During her presentation, entitled ‘NOxAqua - an innovative platform for monitoring nitrogen compounds and the sustainable management of aquatic resources’, the speaker highlighted the latest methodologies developed for water treatment and the importance of guaranteeing its quality in order to preserve aquatic ecosystems and public health.
The lecture was aimed at all members of the academic community with an interest in the area and emphasised the relevance of advanced technological solutions for tackling contemporary environmental challenges.
