
ULusófona in the IX International Congress at Casa das Ciências in Aveiro
Highlighted presence of Eco-Schools Coordination at events on Environmental Education and Management of Food By-Products

Between 8 and 10 July 2024, Lusófona University was present at the IX International Congress, held at the Casa das Ciências in Aveiro, with the active participation of the Eco-Schools coordination of the Faculty of Engineering (FE). This congress, which brings together experts and educators dedicated to promoting sustainability and environmental innovation, served as a platform for publicising the activities carried out by university in the field of environmental education.
During the event, interactive workshops were held focusing on the management and valorisation of food by-products, demonstrating Lusófona University's commitment to sustainable practices and education for sustainability. The workshops highlighted the work underway at the ULusófona Campus, highlighting the integration of environmental practices into the curriculum and the importance of raising student awareness of environmental issues.
Lusófona University was represented by Professor Elisabete Maurício and the person responsible for coordinating Eco-Schools, Adília Charmier, who actively participated in the congress sessions. The event not only allowed for the exchange of knowledge and experiences, but also strengthened the network of collaboration between institutions dedicated to environmental education.
