ULusófona Reinforces Sustainability Commitment with New Ecopoints on Campus
Five new recycling bins installed in partnership with Sociedade Ponto Verde to promote recycling and sustainability
27.05.23 - 12h57On 25 May, Universidade Lusófona took another significant step towards sustainability with the implementation of five new eco-islands on campus. These ecopoints, made up of containers for recycling glass, packaging and cardboard, were installed in building D and aim to encourage waste separation among the academic community.
The result of a partnership between Sociedade Ponto Verde and the university, the recycling bins stand out for their didactic construction, being easily identifiable by their colours and information signs indicating the types of waste that should be deposited in each bin.
The initiative is part of a collaborative action involving the Eco-Schools team from the Faculty of Engineering, together with the infrastructure management department and the maintenance team from Universidade Lusófona. With this joint effort, Universidade Lusófona reaffirms its commitment to sustainability and environmental protection, creating a greener and more conscious environment for everyone.
