ULusófona reaffirms its international prestige with the inclusion of nine researchers in the Stanford–Elsevier Top 2% Scientists, an annual ranking that highlights scientists with high scientific impact worldwide.

The Stanford–Elsevier Top 2% Scientists list, compiled based on metrics from the Scopus database, includes scientists from around the world whose publications demonstrate a high number of citations, h-index, impact, and also a track record throughout their careers.
The 2025 edition considers rigorous evaluation criteria, including co-authorship, author position, scientific field, and other variables that provide a balanced assessment.
This recognition highlights not only individual capabilities, but also the institution's strong contribution to science.
