Webinar - Coastal Engineering in Portugal and in the World

On the 19th of May 2023, the third Webinar organized by young professionals from PIANC took place, which aimed to bring together and bring together Portuguese professionals working in Portugal and abroad, focusing, this edition, on the themes of “Energy of the oceans : offshore, wave and tidal energy” and “Coastal zone management”.

The event featured 11 outstanding speakers, who shared their professional experiences with a total of 286 participants, coming from 28 different countries and representing different areas of activity in Coastal and Port Engineering: designers, consultants, contractors, researchers, port administrations, responsible for coastal management, among many other areas.

The event was organized in collaboration with the Hydrographic Institute, was an integral part of the Navy Day celebrations and had the institutional support of Universidade Lusófona – Centro Universitário do Porto.

The next edition is scheduled for May 2024, dedicated to the most voted topic at the end of the session: “Numerical Modeling: Oceans, Coasts and Estuaries”.
