Class Traineeship

The Internship/Project curricular unit represents a fundamental moment in the academic journey of the Degree in Applied Communication, offering students a unique opportunity to transition between the academic environment and the professional world. This subject gives students the chance to join an organisation in the field of communication or the communication team of another area of activity, where they can apply the knowledge they have acquired throughout their training in a real work context. This professional experience allows them to develop technical and transversal skills that are essential for the labour market, such as autonomy, responsibility, problem-solving skills and teamwork. Immersion in the professional environment also provides an in-depth understanding of organisational dynamics and the challenges of the various professional sectors.

The curricular unit will be adjusted to the internship plans defined with the host organisations directly with the students. A final report will be presented and defended.

The internship is based on practical activities in a professional context. This gives students the opportunity to experience the reality of marketing, advertising and public relations professionals in real-life contexts.
