Objectives
Objectives
The course of Introduction to Design aims to teach to students the increased value that design can bring within the scope of their audiovisual and multimedia projects: in terms of developing graphic identities, exploration of ideas/concepts/metaphors, organizing visual and textual contents, production of graphic artifacts or transitioning from communicating in the medium of moving images to the medium of static images/supports. In order to do so, students will learn about typography, layout grids, visual hierarchies, image editing, among other topics. This learning will happen through the creation of graphic objects (posters, pressbooks, small clips/animations) where the they can apply the knowledge acquired during theoretical classes, a space for building and sharing visual culture both at an individual level and as a class.
