    Syllabus Introduction Basic Concepts for understanding International Relations What is a Theory? What is the importance of Theories for International Relations? What is the International System? What are the main actors operating in the International System? What is the hierarchy of States in the International System? What is Portugal's position in the hierarchy of States that make up the International System? Realist Theory, Neorealist Theory, Structural Realism. Liberalism, Idealism and Neoliberalism Interdependence and Complex Interdependence Theory The Marxism Critical Theory Constructivism Postmodern/Poststructuralist Theory Globalization, The Information and Communication Society, The G-ZERO WORLD and International Relations. Terrorism ContemporaryTheories of Democracy and its importance for International Relations
