For this reason, its field of activity and its field of intervention are directly involved in the scope of international political and economic relations, being undeniable the relevance of this curricular unit within the scope of the Course of European Studies, Lusophone Studies and International Relations.

Geostrategy: 1. The definition of geostrategy and strategy and objectives; 2. Trends; 3. The consequences of the characteristics and strategic position of the State

    Objectives

    This course is intended to: 1. Indicate the elements  in order to understand and correctly use the main concepts of geopolitics and geostrategy. 2. To present the fundamental elements to understand the thought of the founders and the main defending schools of geostrategy and geopolitics. 3. To Iidicate the main types of power and the main ways of using force in international relations. 4. To insist on the elements necessary to preserve international peace and security.
