In this UC, students will develop a research project on a specific topic, deepening the knowledge obtained in classes on that subject.

Monitoring and individual guidance student in the following areas: Collection of information on the dissertation topic.  Definition of the problem and starting issues.  Collection of information. Bbibliographic research. Conceptualization of the problem. Cheking of model and proposed solutions.  Preparing the dissertation or project.  Validation of the webpage and of the scientific paper. Preparation for the public defense of the dissertation or project.

The first goal of this curricular unit is that students produce a dissertation of scientific or project nature in Civil Protection Eng. The work is individual and each student has the guidance of an Adviser. Theme of the work and Adviser must be approved by the Master's Scientific Committee. The action of the Adviser focuses on all the stages of the student work, from conception to submission of the thesis to public examination. The guidance will be in the areas of methodology, theoretical framework, literature review and characterization of the state of the art in the field of study, including closed support to the research or project work and the writing of the thesis, to ensure high standards of formal uniformity and the quality and technical and scientific rigor of the various finished work.
