    S1. Scientific writing and APA standards. S2. Procedures and methodological aspects of carrying out the research project (review of the literature, operationalization of research objectives and hypotheses, data collection, data processing, data analysis, writing, and discussion of results). S3. Ethical procedures in conducting research in clinical neuropsychology S4. Writing the dissertation in accordance with the requirements of scientific articles. S5. Communication and dissemination of research results.
  • Objectives

    Objectives

      The main goal of the CU is to provide support to students in the execution of a project consisting of original research. The CU gives continuity to the UC Master Thesis Project in the 2nd semester of the 1st year, where students select a research topic, carry out a synthesis-review of the state of the art, establish research objectives/hypotheses and define methodological procedures. In this CU it is expected students be able to: LO1: made improvements in  the research project carried out in the UC Master Thesis Project; LO2: conduct the investigation plan (data collection, processing and analysis; writing, interpretation and discussion of results); LO3:  write the Master Thesis in the format of a scientific article LO4: Communicate the results of an original study; LO5: demonstrate critical and ethical reflection skills on advanced research topics through participation in supervisors' research teams.

    Teaching methodologies and assessment

    The proposed and described teaching methodologies incorporate a set of evidence-based innovative pedagogical practices that are tailored to the objectives and content of the curriculum unit. Tutorial guidance is the main teaching methodology of the CU. Students are included in the supervisors' research groups and receive individualized tutorial guidance throughout the process of carrying out the research plan and writing the master thesis.
