Objectives
Learning objectives (knowledge, skills and competences to be developed by students): 1.Explain the genesis of International Relations (IR) as an autonomous discipline. 2. Critically analyse the concepts of IR and Geopolitics; 3. Describe and interpret the postulates of the main theoretical schools of IR 4. Identify the main international actors 5. Examine and evaluate the evolution of the dynamics of security resulting from the complexity and challenges of the international agenda.

Teaching methodologies and assessment
Teaching methodologies and assessment
Written work in the format of a scientific article accompanied by an oral presentation by the student followed by a debate between the lecturer and the rest of the students. The aim is to simulate the environment of a dissertation defence, with the student justifying his/her options, time frame, methodology and the added value of the work in relation to the existing literature.
