Resume

Paula Cristina da Silva França Gomes Pereira has graduated in Chemical Engineering (1986), master degree in Biotechnology- Biochemical Engineering (1993) and PhD in Chemical engineering (2014) from Faculty of Lisbon -IST Instituto superior Técnico. She is an Assistant Professor at Universidade Lusófona since 2000 where she has been teaching several disciplines in domain of chemistry These disciplines are part of the courses: Biology, Biochemistry, integrated master in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemistry, Marine Sciencesl, Food and Environmental Engineering and Biotechnology. She is a member of the Scientific Council of EPCV (ULHT). She has research interest in supercritical fluid extraction, sustainable ingredientes and health science and human nutrition. She has published several papers in peer-reviewed international journals, book chapters, behind author/co-author of oral communications and posters in international and national meetings. Currently she is supervising several dissertations and participated in several academic juries. She also has integrated Organizing Committees of some international and national meetings and participates frequently in public awareness activities Between 1991 and 2020, she worked for an international entreprise where she was responsible for implementing manufacturing processes. From 1987 to 1991 she worked in devevelopment of new laboratory techniques for the biotechnological metals recovery.
