    The aim of the Integrated Face and Body Care curricular unit is to systematise the set of aesthetic and cosmetic methods and approaches used on the body and face with the aim of promoting a relationship with one's body image, in order to achieve benefits in terms of well-being. This CU will integrate and understand the options of methods and practices available for the act of caring, always considering the goal of well-being, essential components of health care.

    Diagnostic sheet. BMI calculation, skinfold measurement, total water volume. Impedance scale vs Dexta. Eating habits, physical activity, known pathologies and therapies used Body and face care intervention methodologies based on the diagnosis: cosmetic counselling, massages, drainage, physical exercise, dietary measures. Facial care. Diagnosis and preparation of the client's file. Needs and treatment plan Analytical data, interpretation of biochemical analyses Aesthetic and cosmetic surgery. What to do and why Facial rejuvenation, most commonly used techniques Post-surgical care Continued post-surgical care / healing Nutritional care; the importance of hydration and supplementation for the patient's physical and psychological well-being Microneedling, what it is and how it is used

    Objectives

    By the end of the course, students should be able to make a diagnosis and create an individual form for each client based on an assessment of individual body and facial needs. Students should be familiar with the various intervention techniques in various case study contexts dealt with in class. They should be able to advise and promote healthy lifestyles and ageing.
  • Teaching methodologies and assessment

    Teaching methodologies and assessment

    Theoretical masterclasses with voluntary attendance in line with the subject's objectives. Tutored practical classes, aimed at deepening the topics taught in the masterclasses through a practical approach to the problems under study. In order to motivate the student to learn, practical cases are carried out and results discussed to stimulate the exchange and acquisition of knowledge. A close relationship is fostered with the teacher in order to facilitate the realisation of practical cases and discussion of results.
