    Introduction to Integrated Care in an Institutional Context Characteristics of institutionalised users: ageing, physical limitations, dementia and health conditions Beauty and Well-being procedures adapted to the institutional environment Safety and Hygiene Protocols in the Institutional Environment Well-being and Stimulation Techniques in the Institutional Context Humanised and ethical communication and approach Multidisciplinary teamwork, family members and significant others in sharing information and developing care plans. Analysis of real or hypothetical situations with a focus on integrated care Nutrition and dysphagia

    Objectives

    • Promote understanding of the particularities and needs of institutionalised users. • Encourage care practices that promote self-esteem, well-being and improved quality of life for institutionalised users. • Recognise the characteristics and limitations of institutionalised users. • Adapt beauty and well-being procedures to the conditions of the institutional environment. • Promote humanised and ethical care practices. • Work in an integrated manner with the multidisciplinary team to ensure the best quality of care. • Ensure adequate nutrition (enteral, parenteral and nasogastric).
