I. Introduction to Operations Management. Basic concepts: Operations and productivity. Project management and control: Project management techniques: CPM/ PERT; Cost - time trade-offs. II. Process analysis and management. Process analysis and design. Quality management: Statistical process control. Methodology 6-Sigma for continuous improvement. Aggregate Planning: Chase and level strategies. Short - term scheduling: Scheduling: Priority rules for dispatching jobs. Waiting lines: Models MM1 and MMS. III. Supply Chain Management. Concepts. Lean techniques: JIT, Kanban. Inventory Management: ABC analysis; EOQ; Probability models for independent demand: fixed quantity with constant and random demand, and fixed - period with random demand systems. Dependent demand models.
