To know technically and conceptually the audiovisual creation process. Sound capture applications and techniques, using sound synthesis, in order to understand the mechanisms that allow the articulation between sound and image. Know how to plan and define projects and work methods in the field of audio editing and post-production in conjunction with video post-production. Understand the language of video editing applied to sound. Expressively use the different contents learned through the development of audiovisual projects.

Syllabus
Semiotics of audio discourse. Semiotic perspectives of music in audiovisual communication. Audio editing and post-production (Advanced); Mixing Techniques (Advanced); Editing and sound synthesis applied in video context. Special effects plug-ins. Automation of sound effects. Dynamic normalization techniques in LUFS (EBU R128) and True Peak. Synthesis and sound design. Sound creation: assembly of narratives / sound structures. Sound composition. Audio restoration.

Objectives
Objectives
Identify all stages of the editing process, as well as their methods and techniques, using non-linear editing software. Demonstrate autonomy in the field of audio applications and respective tools, with specific regard to editing, mixing / mastering and sound creation (sound design), in an audiovisual context. Understand the semiotic mechanisms that make it possible to understand the sound / image articulation, demonstrating autonomy in the consolidation of a project using audio discourse as an integral element of a multimedia document, enhancing its communicational effectiveness. Ability to operate in post-production regardless of the equipment used.
