The Curricular Unit is part of the general training plan in Sound Editing of the degree and its main objectives are to provide students with a set of advanced knowledge on the editing and mixing of sounds and music in a digital environment, technical mastery of work tools in sound and music production software, such as equalization, spatialization, effects, stereo, compression, reverb, delays, dynamic processing and final mixing techniques, always in a studio environment. It is intended that students develop work on projects for cinema, using multichannel mixing techniques - Surround 5.1.

Objectives
This curricular unit aims to acquire technical knowledge of working in the studio, whether in music or in audio post-production for television, cinema or animation. Specific objectives: Creation and development of audio projects, taking into account all their phases; Technical and creative analysis of works done by students; Ability to integrate specific sound work in a studio environment.

Teaching methodologies and assessment
Critical analysis of recognized works, focusing on the semiotics and aesthetics of sound. Carrying out practical exercises combined with theoretical methodologies and critical analyzes worked on in class.
