The discipline introduces the symbiotic and experimental relationship between the Program, the Place and the Materials as fundamentals of Project Methodology in Architecture. The subject of the subject is space, housing and its typological, topological and symbolic variables. The pedagogical foundation of the teaching methodology is the articulation of the critical exercise between the Program, the Place and the Materials through the experimentation with manual geometric operability and the successive approach to scales and types of drawing.

Introduction to Project Methodology through the representation supports Sketch/Geometry/Hand-Raised Drawing; Study Model; Technical Drawing based on the study of Program, Space and Form. Investigation of the conceptual process. Handling programs and conceptual models in archetypal contexts: the underground; the shelter; the house; Handling of typological and morphological models: compact; fragmented; horizontal, vertical; serial. Introduction to the problems of living. Experimentation with language and architectural expression. Formation of architectural concepts. Application of semiological concepts and phenomenological methods. Learning successive approaches to the scales of technical drawing as a heuristic method from the formulation of concepts to materiality. Two (2) practical exercises and one (1) theoretical exercise are developed which, in a complementary way, seek to develop the aforementioned objectives.

Objectives
Objectives
Architecture as a process of qualifying space and environments to be lived and experienced, beyond questions of formal materiality. Understanding general notions of architecture in its sensorial and immaterial aspect and in its affinity relations with art and society in general. Development of the notion of the different elements of architecture and their ability to temporarily alter the perception of a space: light, color, texture, sound, etc. Value practical and psychological needs of occupants. Understand utilitarian and symbolic aspects of space.

Teaching methodologies and assessment
Teaching methodologies and assessment
The methodologies envisaged are related to the articulation between the theoretical knowledge conveyed in the classroom (using slide show projections and films) and its articulation with the practical work requested.
