Objectives
Objectives
Be knowledgeable about the diverse approaches to the study of animal behaviour and its main questions. Demonstrate a current understanding of the ethology of the most common domestic animals Articulate an understanding of the processes of domestication, natural and artificial selection, and their effects on behavior. Critically evaluate the influences and interaction between "nature and nurture" in the development of behavioural problems. Understand the role of the human-animal relationship. Understand the methods to systematically record the occurrence of behaviour. Recognise, evaluate and report on the behavioural states. Be knowledgeable about animal welfare policies and recommendations Describe the main welfare issues of animals in different scenarios Introduce the concept of environmental enrichment Critically and objectively analyse a situation relating to a given problem behaviour context, and then propose and prioritise solutions

Teaching methodologies and assessment
The teaching methodologies used are based on lectures, using practical examples. This will be complemented using active methodologies that are based on the principle of acquiring knowledge autonomously. Active teaching methodologies are applied in practical classes. Hybrid teaching methodologies are also used using online teaching platforms such as: zoom, moodle and genially.
