UC that introduces students to a research culture, exposing them to a series of theoretical-practical methods that allow them to progress in the CE and apply them in other UCs. It also opens up space for small exercises to be developed in order to test the methods explored in the discipline. The UC addresses the contemporary instability of the Archive concept, and the way in which political, socioeconomic, cultural, and even environmental and climatic structures intersect with its study and research. Promotes research instruments to face the complexity and urgency of social challenges and new epistemologies. This addresses the instability of the practice of Design from the Archive as a possible response to the Real. The UC aims to be a collaborative platform, working on ways of seeing/understanding, mapping, designing renovations and ways of acting critically in highly dynamic and porous contemporary landscapes.

Syllabus
The CU program intends for the master's student to develop strategies for autonomy in study and research, speculating Art Based research models with the aim of constituting their own method capable of interconnecting at the beginning of the study cycle with the dissertation, project or internship. Master's students will be challenged to understand and differentiate their own creative research process, constituting a curatorial corpus of the research that is being developed. This process will be subject to theoretical-conceptual and artistic analysis, so that the master's student can make a final object tangible. With the exercises, methodological skills will be stimulated, integrating concepts of construction/deconstruction/reconstruction of thought arising from practice and oriented towards practice - through representation and drawing; perception and visual culture are taught interdependently and with a view to problematizing the object and the object in its visual representation.

Develop innovative, transdisciplinary and interinstitutional teaching, between the areas of Design, Contemporary Art, Curation, Archives, Heritage Operate empirical (artistic) and theoretical research with specific scope in national and international structures and institutions, in order to create protocols and partnerships Formulate socio-ecological strategies based on art and design, using the Archive as a research and creation strategy, allowing the design of new decolonizing discourses Apply and strengthen innovative investigation and research methodologies Identify individual and collective identity in the cultural context - transitions and transfers; Consider and select knowledge and methods that reinforce the holistic view of design; Experiment and share methodologies arising from practical activities other than design, contextualized in project actions Apply design methods and experiences sensitive to different cultural values ¿¿and dimensions

Teaching methodologies and assessment
Teaching methodologies and assessment
Use of disruptive strategies, in a pedagogical design that follows a line of thought with the aim of creating an articulated relationship between thinking, feeling and doing. Master's students are encouraged to develop attitudes and behaviors in project or laboratory mode, aiming to work on skills and curricular content in a dynamic and interactive way. Analysis, synthesis and narrative exercises will support research and intervention development. Theoretical, analytical and conceptual framework using research methods and design and art practice, in order to study systemic relationships in critical thinking, interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary processes and approaches and the search for novelty and irreverence in design. The UC involves collaborative and individual work: there will be multimodal research projects, involving historical, scientific, cultural, political and technological investigations, confronting objective and subjective analytical and representational approaches.
