    The main aim of the master's programme is to train teachers and researchers, trainers, technicians and specialists in the areas of Public Policies and Educational Contexts and Adult Education and Community Intervention for socially relevant scientific research.  The History of Education course is part of this basic training, giving a temporal dimension to the construction of processes (and policies) to build a school for all.

    Objectives

    Know the main sources for historical research work, techniques and concepts; Use the methodologies, techniques and concepts of research in the History of Education Have a critical understanding of the past, distinguishing between long, medium and short-term trends Understand the historical roots of current issues Acquire a specific awareness of the community to which they belong and their responsibility to preserve its heritage. Develop a conceptual framework for the History of Education, critically appraising social phenomena and current trends in the light of historical data.  
  • Teaching methodologies and assessment

    Teaching methodologies and assessment

    The teaching methodologies include lectures, theoretical-practical classes and tutorials. In the theoretical classes, the teacher will present the syllabus using the techniques considered most appropriate for working on the topic under analysis (PowerPoint, film, illustrations, etc.), encouraging the students to participate in reflection and debate of ideas. Theoretical-practical classes will work on the thematic contents of the programme, with students having to produce texts, worksheets, critical reviews (50% of the assessment) and oral presentations (50% assessment). Master's students will receive tutorial guidance from the lecturer in the preparation of their research work.
