Methodology for cinematographic and artistic research, critical analysis and scientific writing. Introduction to the work of authors in cinema: masterclasses and case studies. Students are introduced to the value of research, both from a historical-critical (scientific) point of view and from a creative one. This course unit plays a structural role in the Master's Degree in Film Studies, as it encourages students to think about the methods and tools for informed work in the field of cinema and, on the other hand, allows them to gain perspective on their final dissertation or project.

Teaching methodologies and assessment
Teaching methodologies and assessment
The course includes theoretical exposition and applied theory, with case studies. Rather than presenting topics in a chronological order or in an abstract way, the emphasis is placed on studying specific cases of research and creation. Throughout the semester, guest speakers will be invited to speak on topics related to creation, fieldwork and historiography. This will allow students to engage more directly with researchers and creators in the field of cinema.
