The starting point of the UC is the explanation of the competences inherent to a PhD, fixed, in Portuguese law, by Article 28 of DL 65/2018, of 16th August. Then, it is an exploratory CU to the great themes of R&D in Education, in the framework of projects and lines of research existing in the UID that scientifically supports the PhD: Centre for Interdisciplinary Studies in Education and Development (CeiED).

Teaching methodologies and assessment
Teaching methodologies and assessment
Methodologies based on co-operative work and co-construction of knowledge, which involves group work and discussion in small and large groups. The teaching-learning process is organized in theoretical-practical classes and tutorial guidance. In the TP lessons the programmatical contents will be presented, using the techniques considered more appropriate to work the issues under analysis, in order to make the conceptual framework of the problems. Students will be assigned an active role in their learning process through tasks to be performed in class, individually or in groups, and resorting to Flipped Classroom. Assessment: Construction of a Narrative of 3-5 pp. establishing the relationship between the personal self and the researcher self - who I am, what I do and why I chose the Doctorate in Education and this problema for the research project to be undertaken in the doctorate. Use the APA standards and the presentation of the distributed template.
