Objectives
Objectives
The objectives of this UC are the preparation of doctoral students for the practice of research in urban planning, exploring the analytical sense - theoretical and methodologically oriented - in the observation of urban facts and enabling them to carry out research work. Thus, according to the personal motivation for carrying out the research work, the objectives of this UC are: Prepare the PhD student for the definition of projects, and their limits; Train for the structuring conceptual construction; Systematize the work with the construction of theoretical and analytical models; Plan and develop the research project; Facing the challenges of research efficiently; Manage a research project - Time, resources, results. As a major objective, this UC aims to train the doctoral student to elaborate research work (from assembly to results) and to dissemination results obeying scientific theories and practices in the area of ¿¿urbanism.

Teaching methodologies and assessment
Teaching methodologies and assessment
Dedicated support for each student, with the exploration of their research topics in order to develop the tasks needed to write the thesis. In addition to imparting knowledge about research practice, concepts and standards for carrying out research and communicating results, the specific issue to be developed by the student within the scope of their research is addressed, motivating them to join ongoing research projects or helping them to take on the challenge of creating new projects.
